Welcome to the UK Wesak Festival

8th – 10th May 2009

Gloucestershire

Wesak is the name derived from the amazing meeting of Christ, Buddha and other Masters in the hallowed Wesak Valley in the Himalayas during the Buddha full moon occurring in May each year.

When the Moon is Full in the constellation of Scorpio and the Sun is in Taurus (usually the Full Moon in late April or May), a world-wide event takes place that is often times now referred to as Wesak.

In the East, this full moon marks a celebration of Gautama Buddha's birth, attainment of Buddhahood and His departure from the physical body – and many undertake an annual pilgrimage to the Wesak valley to experience the unique energies.

This year, why not join us in the glorious Gloucestershire countryside for a Wesak Weekend – take time to retreat and enjoy the peaceful and magical setting for this first Spiritual Sojourn Wesak Festival – where you’ll be able focus on your continued spiritual development.

We are still finalising our programme of speakers, meditation and spiritual music. Numbers will be limited to 400 on a first come first served basis, so please email us now email us now to register your interest – you will be the first to receive full programme details as soon as they are available.
